Sheila L. Luton

Sheila Louise Harmon Luton passed away January 30, 2025. She was born January 15, 1938, in Oklahoma City to Lewis and Naomi Harmon.

Sheila married Jim Luton in August 1958. In her younger years Sheila worked at OK Prevention for Blindness. Sheila also worked many years by her husband’s side at Luton & Co., PLLC firm, which was established by her husband Jim Luton in 1967. 

Sheila had many interests, which included Jazzercise and daily walks on the treadmill. Sheila loved her arts and crafts and decided to try her hand at painting, little did she know, she had a natural talent for painting. Several family and friends were fortunate to be given paintings as gifts from Sheila. Sheila enjoyed traveling the world with Jim and their 40-year tradition of summer visits to Destin, FL. and of course, stopping in New Orleans to enjoy a lovely meal and a Rum Ramsey at the BonTon Cafe. Sheila was an avid reader and a devoted fan and season ticket holder for decades of OU Football. With her husband having his pilot license and co-owner of four different planes, Sheila also obtained her pilot license. 

Sheila was preceded in death by her husband Jim Luton; her parents Lewis and Naomi Harmon; brothers Larry Harmon, Michael Harmon Lance Harmon, and sisters-in-law Maxine Harmon and Sharon Luton.

She is survived by daughter Stacy Luton, son Steven Luton; grandchildren Katie Allen, Sebastian Plummer and Hannah Rodger; five sisters-in-law Helen Harmon, Sandy Harmon, Judy Luton, Barbara Luton, Ginny Manahan; two brothers-in-law John Luton and Gerald Luton, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate Sheila will be held 11:00am, Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Smith & Kernke Funeral Home- N. May Chapel. 

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Sheila may do so by contributing to the Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of choice,
