Shirley Ann Dunning

Shirley Ann Dunning was born Dec. 16, 1929 in Kansas City, KS to Mary Mairs & Roscoe Agan. She died Feb. 7 at her home in Edmond. The family moved to Okla. City when Shirley was two. She graduated from Classen High School in 1948 & OU in 1952. While at OU Shirley was president of Delta Delta Delta Sorority and a Big Woman on Campus. Shirley married J.M (Mac) Dunning Jr. in 1967. Shirley retired from St. Anthony hospital after working in administration for 25 years. Shirley was an active member of Crossings Community Church & loved attending with her family and church friends. She especially liked Wednesday night dinner and class. Shirley was always active in community, church and her children and grandchildren's activities including PTA, Camp Fire Girls, and sports and most recently delivering mobile meals and straightening church pews. The highlight of Shirley's life was her family. She loved all holidays and made them special for everyone. "Grams" was very special to all four of her grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband Mac, and daughters Marylee Trigg Strange & husband Tim and Ann Trigg McBride & husband Craig. Her grandchildren are Juliann & Katylee Strange and Cullen & Courtney Greer. Donations may be made to Crossings Community Church or to Theta Gamma Chapter (OU) of Tri Delta.
