Sidney Wayne Evans

Sidney W. Evans, 71, of Oklahoma City passed away on, February 10, 2018 in OKC. Sidney was born March 28, 1947 in Tulsa, OK. Upon his high school graduation he moved to Norman, OK. On October 24, 1969 he married the love of his life Rita Voegeli. Sid lead a life of service, he served his country in the armed forces, served his community as a RN for more than 40 years but he especially loved to serve his family and friends. Sid was active and took pride in his children's and grandchildren's lives. Whether he was leading Boy Scouts, coaching sports, or cheering from the stands. Sid was preceded in death by his mother Helen "Buster" Naifeh and her husband Mitchel; his beloved daughter Tiffany Ann Morrison and dear Sister-in-law Earlene Evans. He is survived by his loving wife Rita; son Patrick and wife Tina; son-in-law Curtis Morrison and wife Teah; and his fantastic and beloved grandchildren Stacee, Gracee, Tracee, Brayden, Abby, and Cooper; brothers Ron Evans and Rt. Rev. Fr. Michael Evans; and a large extended loving family including nieces, nephews, cousins, brother-in-law's and sister-in-law's and aunt. There will be a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at St. Elijah Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Diabetes Association, the American Heart Association or your favorite charity.
