Anne Elizabeth Rose was born to Paul Victor Hoffman and Delina W. Mursch Hoffman, in Big Rapids, Michigan on July 7, 1929. She enjoyed her family life which included three sisters. She attended primary and secondary schools taught by the Sisters of Mercy in New Orleans, Louisiana. She enjoyed her formal higher education through attendance at Loyola University of the South and Dominican College in New Orleans, LA. Sister appreciated and enjoyed her school life sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy and thus entered the religious community September 8, 1949. She made her first profession of religious vows on March 12, 1952, Webster Groves, MO. Sister was missioned as an elementary teacher at schools in Louisiana which included St. Alphonsus, St. Francis Xavier, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and at Sacred Heart in McAllen, TX. Sister was also missioned to minister at Mercy Hospital Business Office and Medical Records Department, New Orleans, LA. Throughout her life Sister continued to be in contact with her family, life-long Community members and friends. Sister enjoyed visiting and being a faithful correspondent. During her retirement, Sister continued interest in Co-workers, events and activities. She was faithful to Community spiritual events and enjoyed seasonal decorations for the Convent and Good Shepherd Catholic School at Mercy. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters: Mary Di Nicola, Pauline Gutierrez and Barbara Hoffman. Immediate survivors include many beloved nieces, nephews and their families, Sisters of Mercy, co-workers, friends, former students, Mercy Associates, compassionate physicians and caregivers. Memorials may be extended to your charity of choice and Good Shepherd Catholic School at Mercy, 13404 N. Meridian, Oklahoma City, OK 73120-8311. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Mercy Health Center Convent with burial to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
