Sister Mary Lotter

Sister Mary Lotter, a Discalced Carmelite Nun of Piedmont, died June 13, 2024. She was born July 5, 1933 in New York, NY to Alfons and Eleanor (Schloer) Lotter. She entered the Carmelite Monastery in 1960 and made her profession of Vows on May 26, 1962. During her 64 years as a religious nun, she served as the maintenance and grounds keeper for the monastery which she loved. She is preceded in death by her parents, her blood sister, Sr. Monica, OCD, her brother Rudy, and all her religious sisters at the Carmelite Monastery.

A vigil will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 7PM at Smith & Kernke, 14624 N. May Ave. The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, June 20 at 9AM at the Catholic Pastoral Center, 7501 NW Expressway in OKC. Interment will follow at the Carmelite Cemetery, 20000 N. County Line Rd., Piedmont.
