Sister Teresa Ranallo, CST, died July 9, 2010, at Grace Living Center, Bethany. Born Mary Philomena Ranallo, daughter of Joseph and Josephine Duca Ranallo, January 20, 1918 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma.
She attended Southeastern State Teachers College, Durant, and Benedictine Heights College, Guthrie, before she entered the convent of Carmelite Sisters of St Therese of the Infant Jesus in 1937,
making her vows April 1, 1939. Sister Teresa completed her B.A. in Spanish/English at St. Mary College, Leavenworth, KS. For sixteen years she had the joy of teaching elementary school age
children at Villa Teresa in Oklahoma City, and parishes of Union City, Cushing, Fairfax, Sand Springs and Harrah. She was administrator of St. Ann's Home, OKC, 1954-56. Sister Teresa was chosen General Superior of her religious congregation for three terms. With her leadership the Sisters were able to build a needed addition to their Motherhouse, and to renew and continue their formation in Carmelite life and prayer. Sister Teresa was appointed to the Archdiocesan Marriage Tribunal where she worked 1976-1994. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Grace Ranallo, Frances Wilcox, Sister Therese Ranallo OCD; and her brothers Frank, Angelo, John and Joe Ranallo. Survived by her sisters Catherine McCaslin of Hartshorne and Sister Bernadette Ranallo OCD of Pewaukee, Wisconsin; and many dear nieces and nephews
