Stephanie Raschtschenia "Baba" went home to her Lord and Savior October 13, 2017. Born on July 12, 1926 in Lwow, Poland, Stephanie faced many daunting challenges in her life. A survivor of World War II she came to America and soon found herself a single parent raising five young children. Through her tenacity and perseverance, she created a home for her children embraced by her faith and her love. Baba loved gardening, attending family events and she especially loved cooking for her family. She loved her church family and was an active member of OKC Faith Church. She took great pride in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed. Stephanie was preceded in death by her husband Stefan and her daughter Mindy. She leaves behind daughters Anna Harris and husband Terry, Jenny Jenkinson and husband Steve, sons Larry Raschtschenia and wife Heather and John Raschtschenia and wife Teresa; grandchildren Stephanie Mott and husband Robert, Courtlan Harris and wife Staceyleigh, Chad Harris, Kiley Williams and husband James, Blake Jenkinson and wife Chelsea, Madisen Hlinicky, Alex Raschtschenia, Nik Raschtschenia, Stefan Raschtschenia, and Stasha Raschtschenia, and great-grandchildren Baylie Meyer, Kingston Harris, Emily Williams and Lily Mott. Visitation will be held Monday October 16, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m at Smith & Kernke Funeral Home, 1401 N.W. 23rd Street. A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 10:30 at OKC Faith Church, I-40 and Portland with burial to follow at Fairlawn Cemetery.
