Stephen Dunlap May, 55, passed from our arms into those of our Heavenly Father on July 31, 2011. Born in Tulsa, OK, September 28, 1955 to John Truman and Elba Dunlap May. He was the youngest of four children. He attended Choctaw Public Schools from 1-12 grades. Stephen worked as a plumber and insulator most of his life. For the last several years he has been an independent contractor with his brother Johnny, as May Brothers Plumbing in and around Russellville, AR. Stephen's passion was cooking, reading recipes and watching food programs on T.V. He missed his calling as a master chef as anyone can attest to after eating his Louisiana cuisine. He was a hunter, a fisherman, and he read extensively on Native American Culture, ancient history and the Bible. He could enchant you around a campfire recounting Indian lore. Stephen was a warm, loving man and our family will miss his wonderful meals and our conversations with him which always ended with a smile and an "I Love You." Stephen is preceded in death by his parents and his most special niece – "Sister", Kimberlie Austin who preceded him in death only seven months ago. He is survived by his devoted wife of 31 years, Kathy; Four children, Nicole May of Russellville, AR, Shayne May and wife Jane, John Stephen May and wife Suzanne, and Shaynna May, all of Midland-Odessa, TX; Brother, Johnny May and wife Ruby of Dover, AR; Sister, Bonnie Walkingstick and husband Benjamin of Chandler, OK; Sister, June C.
