Susan Severin Prime passed away January 25, 2015, in Oklahoma City where she was born on April 2, 1923. Susan was the daughter of Claude L. and Helen Ross Severin. She spent her childhood in Oklahoma City and attended the University of Oklahoma where she was a Pi Beta Phi. In 1945 she married Lawrence Prime; they lived in Seattle, Washington D.C., and New York while Lawrence was in the naval air force. They eventually returned to Oklahoma City where Susan was a member of All Souls' Episcopal Church, member of the Junior League, and volunteered with the Pink Ladies at Presbyterian Hospital as well as the Red Cross. Susan was very proud of her Cherokee heritage and loved all things Santa Fe and Mexico, which was evident in her beautiful artwork. She was a very talented artist which could be seen in her beautiful abstract watercolors. She at one time worked for The Cowboy Hall of Fame, Trochta's Flowers and owned a candle shop called The Pink Adobe. Susan had a love of animals and always had a couple of dogs, cats or birds running underfoot. She is survived by her sister Margaret Severin Owen of Houston, daughters Tally Prime McNay of Wichita Falls, Mary Prime Cunningham, son Charles Prime of Oklahoma City, her grandchildren; Laurie McNay and Michael Nolan as well as her two nieces. Memorial service will be Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 1p.m. at All Souls' Episcopal Church Chapel of St. Mary.
