Susan Gail Seamans was born June 13, 1948 in Postville, Iowa to Eldon and Margery Seamans. She passed away March 11, 2017 in Tanzania. A graduate of Chickasha High School, Smith College, and the University of Oklahoma College of Law, she served as Associate General Counsel at the OU Health Sciences Center from 1979 until her retirement in 2006. Susan was active in the Oklahoma City Master Chorale and the Smith College Alumnae Chorus and a faithful supporter of the OU Women's Basketball team. She is survived by her brother Greg Seamans and wife Kathi, sister-in-law Nancy Seamans, aunt Edna Pixley, and many, many friends - especially the Barnett girls and their children, the Raines trips and her favorite godson, little Hadley, the Sullivan Clark kids, Alyssa, and the children she tutored the past ten years in the third grade classroom of Mr. Carl Ray. Services will be Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., at St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Steed Elementary (2118 Flannery Drive, MWC, OK 73110) and the Oklahoma Choral Association (PO Box 20545, OKC, OK 73156).
