Suzanne Wolf Nix died August 26, 2016. She was born February 6, 1933 in Oklahoma City to Walter and Ruth Barr. She graduated from John Carroll High School and attended Oklahoma State University and the University of Central Oklahoma.
She was a long time member of Christ the King Church where she served on the Parish Council, the Christ the King School PTO, the Women's guild and other volunteer activities. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Alumnae and the Nichols Hills Parks Committee. She also served as a docent at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. She was a volunteer at St. Anthony Hospital, RAIN, Contact Crisis Hotline, and other community activities. She enjoyed her book and garden clubs. An important part of her life was the more than 40 years of playing tennis with friends. She was gifted in being always sensitively aware of and generously responsive to the needs of others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ruth Barr, by her first husband, Thomas Charles Wolf, and by grandson, Thomas Stephen Wolf.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Thomas E. Nix, Jr.; daughter Beth Barnes, her husband, Michael, and her children Shea and Paige Terlip; son Dr. Thomas C. Wolf, his wife Judy, and their daughters, Laura and Katherine; son Dr. Stephen P. Wolf; son James G. Wolf, his wife Barbaranne and their son, Preston M. Wolf, and their three daughters and their families: Lisa and her husband Michael O'Hara and their children Margaret, Elizabeth, John, and Grace; Anna and Matthew Schumann and their children, Showers, Palmer, and Walter; Alexandria and Michael Hartnett and their children, Harrison and William.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Christ the King Catholic Church on Monday, August 29, 2016, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the City Rescue Mission, 800 W. California Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73106.
