Taylor Rawlins Kempton, 30, of La Jolla, California and Oklahoma City OK, passed away unexpectedly after a recent surgery on Sunday Oct 24th, 2021. His sudden untimely passing has left his family and friends bereft and heartbroken. He has left an indelible mark on us all and will be forever missed. Taylor was born to Sally Kimble Ferrell and Gregory Kempton on February 11th, 1991, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Taylor graduated from Oak Ridge Military Academy in Oak Ridge, North Carolina in 2009. He lived in La Jolla, California and several other states before settling down in Oklahoma City and going to work with his Stepfather, Charles Ferrell, at Ferrell Oil in Oklahoma City, OK. Taylor loved life, and amplified it for everyone who knew him. He was a deeply loving and kindhearted son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend. His love of family and friends was unwavering and infectious and his smile was illuminating. His humour and kindness brought joy and solace to all who met him. His tenderness and thoughtfulness touched the hearts of everyone in his path, and he would always go out of his way to make sure the sun shone brightly in everyone's heart and life. One of his all time favorite quotes was by Winston Churchill... Success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm. Taylor embodied this quote, and taught us all that despite the many challenges you may face in life, you should always look to the future with hope. Taylor had an infectious positivity and a wonderful intuition for diffusing tensions. He was a profoundly sweet, kind, and endearing human being whose tender heart and understanding enabled him to sense when those around him needed his love and support the most. Highly developed emotional intelligence was another rare and beautiful gift that he possessed. We were all so blessed to have had him in our lives; even though he was with us for such a brief moment in time... We will be holding a remembrance for Taylor in Charleston (a city close to his heart) on his birthday the 11th of February 2022. More details to follow...in the interim we encourage you to share your condolences here and of course reach out to me at sallykimble@hotmail.com to share your love of Taylor...I will gladly endeavor to incorporate your stories and love of him at his Celebration of Life Ceremony in Charleston. "Non est ad astra mollis e terries via, hinc illae lacrimae, sed habes angelos redentes et subridentes" There is no easy way from the earth to the stars, hence these tears. But you have the Angels laughing and smiling.
