Telesa Marie Burns

Ms. Telesa Burns, age 53, of Cartersville, Georgia, departed this life Sunday evening, October 17, 2010, at Carters-ville Medical Center. Telesa was born on December 23, 1956, in Afton, Oklahoma. Telesa enjoyed gardening, home improvement, outings at the lake, and being with her grandchildren. She will be remembered by her famiy and friends as a very kind, generous and hospitable woman. She will be missed greatly by everyone. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Sharon Durbin. Telesa is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Scott Sostack of Resaca, Georgia, Keri Burns of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Stacy and Jeremy Privette of Norman, Oklahoma and Jennifer and Wade Wilson of Odenton, Maryland; a son, Ronald Burns of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a sister and brother-in-law, Terri and Randy Jones of Edwardsville, Pennsylvania; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Luki Durbin of Allen, Texas, Ricky Durbin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Ralph and Gwen Durbin of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Wesley, Paige, Sebastian, Austin, Troy, Aubrey, Ashley, Alicia ''Issy'', Brianna, Emily, and Aunika; her soul-mate, James Womack; her lifetime friend, David Melton. Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Telesa M. Burns will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, October 21, 2010, at the Calhoun Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00AM until the funeral hour at 3:00PM. A graveside service will also be held at Resurrection Cemetery in Oklahoma City at 1 p.m. on Monday, October 25, 2010
