Teresa Diane Pinson

Teresa Diane Pinson, affectionately known as GiGi, was born on February 6, 1961, in Oklahoma City and graced the world with her vibrant spirit until her passing on November 20, 2024. Teresa lived a life rich with love for her Savior and her family, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by many.

From an early age, Teresa exhibited a remarkable talent for music, inspired by her daddy playing the mandolin and her singing along when his friends would come over to play bluegrass music. This love for singing blossomed, leading her to join a trio named Promise alongside her sweet friends, Barb Swanson and Kathy Strawn. Together, they recorded two albums that deeply touched the lives of countless women through their heartfelt ministry. Music, however, was just one of the gifts she shared with the world.

A graduate of Hinton High School in 1978, Teresa was a shining star known for her leadership as head cheerleader and her recognition as football homecoming queen. Her journey through life included entrepreneurship, reflecting her tenacious spirit. Alongside her late husband, Bill Pinson, she established several businesses, including Pinson Well Logging, It's New York deli, and Isabella's clothing store. Later in life she turned her love for redoing furniture and custom drapery into Gigi's Upholstery.

Teresa was a beacon of family unity, a role she embraced wholeheartedly. She poured love into planning family dinners, vacations, and hosting holidays, ensuring that her parents, children, grandchildren, and friends came together to create cherished memories. The warmth of her family gatherings echoed throughout the years, particularly in her kitchen where the aroma of cookies and brownies baked alongside laughter shared with her grandchildren. Bryson, Presley, Emma, Eli, Trinity, Gracey, and Mercy will forever remember their moments spent with Gigi, especially baking after dinner time, sleepovers, and great vacations.  She made a priority to cultivate a bond of love that enriched their lives.

Her nurturing spirit found further expression through her love of plants and flowers. Her husband Bill gifted her a with a beautiful greenhouse, allowing her to tend to her plants all throughout the year. Teresa’s nurturing nature extended beyond her garden, which flourished under her careful attention, to her heartfelt commitment to helping others. She played a significant role in founding the Beautiful Dream Society in Lesotho, Africa, helping to establish a home and advocating for victims of human trafficking—confirming her desire to make a difference and rescue those in need.

After a courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, Teresa’s physical journey came to an end, but her spirit and legacy will endure in the hearts of all who knew her. Her family, including her devoted parents Albert and Saundra Brown, her brothers Rodney, Farrell and Dustin, her children Brandon (son) and Hailey Pinson, Jessica (daughter) and Troy Dee, and Amber (step-daughter) and Tom Reifsteck, along with her seven grandchildren, and nieces, Victoria and Madeline and nephew, Hayden—will carry forth the love she imparted and the memories she created.

Teresa's love and laughter are immortal, woven into the very fabric of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She reunites in spirit with her late husband, Bill, and her beloved grandparents, Eddie and Ginny Wray, as they welcome her with open arms in eternal peace.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Teresa's life on November 26, 2024. It will begin with a funeral service at Victory Church in Edmond at 11:00 AM, followed by a lunch for those in attendance provided by the church, and then the graveside service at Resthaven Cemetery in Oklahoma City at 2:30 PM. Let us gather to honor a remarkable woman who embraced life, loved with abandon, and found joy in every precious moment.
