Theresa Gail Glass-Lloyd

Theresa was born in Oklahoma City, OK on February 25, 1960 to Mary Evelyn and James Thomas McMillian Sr. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 18th, surrounded by her loved ones in Oklahoma City.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, 7 siblings, and her beloved husband, Roger. She is survived by her daughter, Whitney Mendenhall, son-in-law Lauren, and their children Corwyn and Ævum of Edmond, OK; her son, Colton Lloyd, daughter-in-law Lily, and their two children Ace and Slater of Choctaw, OK; as well as a host of nieces and nephews who will carry on her memory.

The youngest girl and second-to-last of nine children, Theresa grew up in Oklahoma City, where family was the cornerstone of her life from a very young age. Even as one of the younger siblings, she naturally took on the role of caretaker. Her nieces and nephews fondly remember the fun and joy she brought as "Aunt Theresa," a constant source of love and laughter.

In her earlier years, Theresa enjoyed traveling, modeling, and had a deep love for horses. She was an avid barrel racer in her twenties and loved to spend time line dancing. Known for her love of Coca-Cola, you could rarely catch her without one in hand.

Family gatherings were an absolute joy for her—she was always looking forward to the next cookout or any excuse to spend time with loved ones. She loved being at the center of the conversation and the action.

Of all the roles she played in life, her greatest joy came from being a mother and, above all, a grandmother. Her children recall her as a loving, devoted mother, and her grandchildren were the apples of her eye. She delighted in playing with them, spoiling them, and cherishing every moment they spent together.

Theresa was a thoughtful, creative, and kind woman who loved the holidays, tea parties, and cherished visits to the ballet. She accepted people for who they were and was fiercely loyal to her family and friends. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Her funeral service will be held at Smith & Kernke on Saturday, March 22nd, at 2 PM.
