Tom was born to Ralph and Dottie Doughty on August 14, 1951 in Cushing, OK. He left this world on the morning of July 30, 2022. He was just shy of his 71st birthday. Tom was a kind and empathic man, almost to a fault. He was frugal and lived a simple life. Tom was employed many places but mostly a courier with C.L. Frates, Inc. in Oklahoma City. A graduate of Northwest Classen HS, he lived in Oklahoma his whole life. He loved travel and camping with his stepchildren and made many happy memories for them. He loved animals and even though he tried not to be, he was Daddy to many cats, a rabbit, several dogs, but especially his dog named Blue. Many have seen him riding his recumbent bicycle all over northwest Oklahoma City for exercise. At one time, he was up to 30 miles a day. He was the artist of the Doughty clan and designed many pamphlets and programs for family activities like weddings, reunions and funerals. His paintings are unique, and he even had a one-man show in the 1980's! He had many interests and knew a little about allot of things.Tom is preceded in death by his parents and stepson, Julian; and survived by siblings, Alice (and her husband Bob) Kellogg, Howard Doughty, Manny (and his wife Barbara) Doughty and stepdaughter, Stevie Cain.
