Thomas J. Enis passed away peacefully with his family at his side on February 28, 2022. He was born July 2, 1937 in Maryville, Missouri to Herbert and Loretta Enis. He grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated from Rockhurst University in 1958 with a major in chemistry and minor in physics. After working as a physicist for several years, Tom studied law at the University of Missouri, graduating first in his class in 1966. He served as Editor of the Law Review and member of the Order of the Coif. After graduation, Tom moved to Oklahoma City, where he met his wife, Harolyn Westhoff Enis, and served as professor, Associate Dean, and head of Admissions and Academics at the University of Oklahoma School of Law. In 1975, he was recruited by Southwestern Bell, and then entered private legal practice in 1981. In 1988, Tom joined Fellers Snider Blankenship and Bailey law firm and became a Partner in 1990. An aficionado of classical music and the arts, Tom served as volunteer Counsel for the Board of Directors on the Oklahoma Symphony Orchestra for five years, and remained on the board of the Oklahoma City Philharmonic ever since. He and his wife Harolyn supported various arts and civic organizations, and were active in their parish community at Christ the King Catholic Church. Over the years, Tom and Harolyn welcomed the birth of four children, and shared their faith and many wonderful family memories. Tom was a loving and faithful servant of God and will be fondly remembered for his quiet service to his family and community.Thomas J. Enis is survived by his loving wife Harolyn Enis and their children: Margaret E. Spears, her husband, John, and their children, Michael and Laura; David R. Enis, his wife, Neesha, and their children, Natasha and Maya; John A. Enis, his wife, Heather, and their children, Alice and Juliet; and Brian E. Enis, his wife, Kori, and their children, Emma and Annie. Siblings include Carolyn Koger and her husband, Chris. Tom is also blessed with extended family. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 7, 2022 at 11:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will be in a family plot in Pine Crest cemetery in Atlanta, Texas.
