Thomas John Petuskey of Oklahoma City, passed away December 6, 2021, after a long illness. He was born in New Jersey, January 13, 1928, the youngest son to John Albert Petuskey Sr. And Helen Ursula Grisckis Petuskey. Thomas was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army having attained the rank of Sargent upon discharge. Thomas had a B.A. degree in Philosophy and had worked in an oil company prior to seeking public office in 1984 running for Oklahoma County Court Clerk. He was elected and re-elected in 1988 and retired at the end of his term stating 8 years was long enough for any public office.He and his wife, Joann, the love of his life, loved to travel and went to Europe, Canada and spent each year in Scottsdale, Arizona for their anniversary.Thomas was preceded in death by his father, John Albert Petuskey Sr., mother, Helen Ursula Grisckis Petuskey; brother, Father John A. Petuskey Jr.; sister, Dorothy Petuskey and his loving wife, Joann Weeks Petuskey.Respects and viewing will be December 12, 2021, 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. with an Evening Prayer Service beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Smith-Kernke, 14624 N. May Avenue, Oklahoma City.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated December 13, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Baptist Catholic Church, 900 S. Littler Avenue, Edmond, OK with burial to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
