Thomas Lester Hudman, 75, passed away peacefully at home on August 2, 2014. Tom was born on January 12, 1939, in Oklahoma City, where he lived his whole life. He was a graduate of Classen High School and the University of Oklahoma. Tom spent most of his life working in the financial industry, but in his later years, found great pleasure working as a teacher's aide in a special needs classroom. He loved sports — a lifetime OU fan and dedicated Thunder fan — and also enjoyed art, history and movies. Tom was an uncompromising and complete fan and cheerleader for his children and grandchildren. He was a kind, smart, fun and passionate man and a loyal and devoted friend to many. He will be sorely missed, but we are grateful for the wonderful memories. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Lester and Laura Hudman; and beloved wife of 48 years, Joyce Hudman, of whom he took great care. He is survived by his sister, Nancy Roach and her husband Dale; son, Thad and grandchildren, Lauren and Victoria; daughter, Julie Hudman and husband Anil Kakani and grandchildren, Maya and Jay; and daughter, Jennifer James and her husband Justin and grandchild, Zach. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Oklahoma Historical Society. Services are Wednesday, August 6 at 2 p.m. at Our Lord's Community Church, 11400 N. Portland Avenue.
