Thomas M. "Tom" Lemasters

At the age of 72, Thomas M. LeMasters passed away on November 5, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK following a battle with cancer. Tom was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 29, 1947 to Marie and Loren R LeMasters. He was reared in Indianapolis and graduated with a Business Administration degree from Indiana University, leading to a professional career in Retail Management, Sales, and Oil & Gas land work. While on a return flight from a business trip, Tom met his wife, Mary Conlee Jewett. They were happily married for 28 years, tying the knot on June 1, 1991. Mary and Tom welcomed their daughter Susanna Conlee on December 29, 1998.Tom's Indiana heritage carried over to his passions. Tom loved auto racing and IU basketball. Upon marrying and moving to Oklahoma, he developed a love for OSU athletics. Nicknamed "the Tailgate God", Tom took delight in hosting OSU football tailgate extravaganzas for his friends and family. Entertaining and cooking were second nature to Tom and brought joy to all who graced Mary and Tom's table. In retirement, Tom directed his culinary talents to helping a broader audience. His greatest joy was preparing meals and serving in the St. Paul's Mobile Meals program. Tom was truly blessed with the gift of hospitality.Tom is preceded in death by his parents and beloved brothers and sisters: Marilyn LeMasters, Judy Rogers, Bill Larsh, and Dick LeMasters, all of Indianapolis. Tom is survived by his wife Mary Conlee Jewett and daughter Susanna Conlee LeMasters of Edmond, OK; his niece Kim Hart and family of Indianapolis; his Sister-in-Law Jennifer Jewett-Williams and husband Rick Williams, nephew Matt Jewett-Williams of Oklahoma City and niece Kate Jewett-Williams of Tucson, AZ; his Sister-in-Law Laura Jewett & Steve Clark of Brownsville, TX, and Sister-in-Law, Judy LeMasters of Indianapolis; and extended family in Indiana. Tom and his family are so grateful for the kindness, love and prayers from the multitude of family and friends who have provided comfort during his illness. Visitation will be held at Smith & Kernke Funeral Home, 14624 N. May Ave, Oklahoma City OK 73134 on Tuesday, November 12 from 10:00am to 7:00pm. The family will be present to greet friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Services and inurnment will be conducted on Wednesday, November 13th at 1:00pm at St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral, 127 NW 7th St., Oklahoma City. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial donations to the Mobile Meals program at St. Paul's Cathedral.
