Thomas Raymond Carter of Oklahoma City, OK passed away on April 19, 2014 in the presence of family and friends after struggling with cancer. Born in St. Joseph, Missouri on July 12, 1954, Tom lived a life full of many blessings, just as he was a blessing to others. Tom spent over 25 years in Catholic education in Jefferson City, MO and Oklahoma City. He was well known and loved in the Oklahoma City Catholic community as a high school theology teacher at Mount Saint Mary High School. He lived a faithful life in the Church at Christ the King parish and was ordained a deacon in October of 2013.
Tom was a loving husband, father and grandfather, guiding his family with the same steadfast faith, generosity, and distinctive sense of humor that he shared with all.
Tom is survived by his wife Karen M. Carter of Oklahoma City, his mother MaryAnn Carter (MO), his siblings John Carter (PA), Bob Carter (MO), Barbara Matthews (KS), Jim Carter (MO), Mike Carter (WV), Ed Carter (MO), his children Brother Patrick Carter of Clear Creek Monastery (OK), Sarah Baxa and husband Jon Baxa (KS), Breck Gastinger and wife Lara Gastinger (VA) and Laura Gosa and husband Kevin Gosa (NJ), and his nine grandchildren, Grant and August Gastinger, Benedict, Scholastica, Faustina, Ignatius, and Isadore Baxa, and Linus and Kasper Gosa.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 25 at 6pm with the service and Rosary at 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 26 at 10am. All services will be held at Christ the King Church, 8005 Dorset Drive, Oklahoma City, OK followed by burial at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
