Thuda Claire Heenan Maguire was born to Frank and Euna Mae Heenan July 1, 1928 and died December 1, 2013 with her family at her side. Thuda graduated from John Carroll High School and attended St. Mary's College in Leavenworth, Kansas. She married the love of her life, Dr. Hugh "Bo" Maguire on September 3, 1948, and they returned to Oklahoma City in 1956 to establish their home. Thuda volunteered at John Carroll School during the children's formative years as a homeroom mother, Girl Scouts, and organizing the school's library. She was a devout Catholic and active lifelong member of Our Lady's Cathedral of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Thuda was predeceased by her parents and husband Bo. She is survived by her children (spouses) Mary, Hugh (Mary E.), Betsy, Philip (Laura), Annie (Chip); grandchildren Christine (Bobby), Kimberly, Michael, Andrew, Mark, Catherine, William (Merlin), Hugh V, Claire, Jennifer; great-grandson Coen. Thuda is also survived by many brothers-and sisters-in-law, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family is forever grateful to the many physicians and staffs who provided her with compassionate care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady's Cathedral of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3214 N. Lake, on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in Mrs. Maguire's name to Our Lady's Cathedral of Perpetual Help and Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School Endowment Fund.
