Tommy Tran

Tommy Tran, age 69, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. A devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather, Tommy’s warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew him.

Born on June 8, 1956, in Da Nang, Vietnam, Tommy immigrated to the United States in 1979 in pursuit of a brighter future.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tánh Văn Trần and Danh Thị Nguyễn; his sisters, An Thị Trần and Vui Thị Trần, and his beloved son, Daniel Tran.

Tommy is survived by his loving wife, Nhon Thị Tran, his high school sweetheart and the love of his life. Together, they built a beautiful family and a home filled with laughter and love. He is also survived by his cherished daughter, Sabrina Nguyen Tran, and his devoted son, James Ly Nguyen, who were his greatest joys. His legacy continues through his grandsons, Ethan Alex Nguyen and Jaxon Dat Nguyen. He also leaves behind his brothers, Lanh Văn Trần and Thinh Văn Trần, and his sisters, Vân Thị Trần and Út Hiền Thị Trần.

A man of many talents and a tireless work ethic, Tommy spent seven years working on a shrimp boat, a job he loved before settling down to raise a family. He dedicated the rest of his career to Bob Howard as a Lot Porter, where he was known for his diligence and unwavering dedication.

Tommy found joy in life’s simple pleasures—fishing, gardening, fixing cars, and creating things with his hands. He had an infectious sense of humor, always ready with a joke to make those around him smile. Above all, he was a pillar of support for his family, always willing to lend a hand whenever needed.

Tommy’s kindness, humor, and boundless love for his family will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever be cherished, and his spirit will remain a guiding light for his loved ones.
