Una Mae Onan

Una Mae Onan went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 13 at Hearthstone at Quail Springs. She was born Jan. 26, 1918, in Roff, OK to Henry Lee and Coreen Crawford Hudson. She was an active member of Village Baptist Church. She put her family first and never missed any of her grandchildren's events. She worked outside the home and was actively involved in PTA, serving as president for Pleasant Hill Schools and in later years assisted with the family business, Onan Oil Co. She served her family as a homemaker and was an amazing cook preparing for countless family gatherings. Her favorite hobbies were watching her cardinals and fishing for crappie, including cleaning and cooking for everyone. She had an amazing love for children and them for her. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Virgil Clyde Onan, and five brothers, Clark, Guss, Lee, Thurman and Horold Hudson. She was a wonderful mother to her two sons, Virgil Onan and his wife Donna, and Norman Onan all of Edmond; she was MeeMaw and Nana to four grandchildren, Brody Onan and wife Rebecca; Abbey Onan and husband, Vinny Lappano; Sacora Onan, and Stoney Onan all of Edmond and two great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Hudson Onan. Additional survivors include numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks is extended to Quality Life Hospice, the caregivers at The Harbor at Hearthstone Assisted Living, staff at The Wellington and Kathy Barbour, PA with OU Physicians.
