Venice Rosa Shadeed Yeager, beloved mother and grandmother, was born November 15, 1942 in Kingston, Jamaica, to Ralph and Badia Shadeed and left this earth to be with her Heavenly Father, April 29, 2020. She was the middle child, yet took such loving care of everyone in her family. She served both her parents in their final years, so selflessly and was known for her incredible faith, tenacity and joyful spirit. People often say she had a smile they could never forget! She came to Oklahoma and lived with her Aunt Rosa and cousins and went to college at OCU, before meeting and marrying her husband Richard and having two children.A longtime member of St. Elijah Orthodox Christian Church, Venice served in every capacity of the Bonne Here Club and was the club's youngest member. She made lifelong friendships with these ladies, and said they were more like sisters. They worked to raise money for philanthropic causes for many years and to share laughter as well as the fellowship of their loving relationships and shared heritage. She was also a part of The Guild and The Ladies Aid, where she continued to make lifelong friends. Venice was preceded in death by her loving parents Ralph and Badia and her former husband. She is survived by her two brothers Michael and Larry and two children, Rick and Kathi, and her husband John, and their children Gentrey, Beckham and Branick. As well as numerous cousins and loved ones. May her memory be Eternal. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Venice's memory to The Flowers that Do Not Wither Fund at St. Elijah's.
