Virginia Lee Romano joined her beloved husband of 68 years in heaven on August 21, 2014. She was born on December 26, 1927 to Arthur and Vaud Heath in Marlow, Oklahoma. She went to school and lived in Oklahoma City until she married the love of her life, Enrico "Rick" J. Romano, who recently predeceased her. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, office manager and great friend to all those who knew and loved her.
In addition to being the office manager for her husband and son's law firm for over 30 years, she loved the responsibility and personal gratification derived from working for others in non-profit organizations. She was a past President of the Oklahoma Bar Auxiliary, the "Rollin Okies" Motorcoach Association and the Bridgeport Dunes Homeowners Association.
She hung a plaque on the wall that said, "God only gives us what we can handle, I just wish he didn't trust me so much."
She leaves behind four children, Linda and husband Roger Brown of Houston, TX; Regina Good of Oklahoma City; Rick E. and wife Caroline of Oklahoma City; Jenny and her husband Mike Chenoweth of Houston, TX; eleven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, all who will miss her dearly.
Visitors are welcome Monday, August 25, 2014 between 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Smith & Kernke Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 26th at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery Chapel.
