Vivian, 76, passed away Jan. 18, 2012. She was born June 22, 1935, to Swedish immigrants John and Irma Frolund in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from nursing school in 1955 and from Oklahoma City University in 1975. She worked at many hospitals, YMCA, United Parcel Service and the Oklahoma Tax Commission. Vivian was married to Kenn Moon on Christmas 1956 in Wappingers Falls, NY, and the couple moved to Alaska in 1957, homesteading in the South Fork valley of Eagle River, Alaska, in 1960. Shegave birth to two sons while "proving up" on the land. The family moved to OKC in 1967. Vivian enjoyed swimming, especially in the ocean, and working behind the scenes in theater productions. She was active in Al-Anon and helped many find recovery. Vivian's wry humor and curiosity about the world around her made her a constant joy to be with. She is predeceased by her parents and several good friends. She is survived by her brother, John Alan Frolund, and wife, Michele, of Canarsie; sons Barney Moon; K.C. (Jane) Moon; and five grandchildren who completely lighted her life: Lyla, Carsen, Cassidy, Savanah and MacKenzie. Vivian was best friend to many folks who can barely stand to say goodbye.
