Walter Shugart

Walter Shugart, 86, of Oklahoma City, passed away on Dec. 2, 2012. He was born on August 1, 1926, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and graduated from Pauls Valley High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and worked for over 30 years as a homebuilder in North Oklahoma City. He loved fishing and dancing. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and wives, Norma and Peggy. He is survived by his daughter Lesa and husband Dr. Michael Ferguson. He is also survived by his two granddaughters, Erin Kim and husband Jong, and Adrien Kerksick and husband Chad, as well as two great-granddaughters, Avery Kim and Camden Kerksick. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of The Mansion at Waterford for their loving care and assistance, as well as his dear friend JoAnn Kessel for her love and support. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Walter's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
