Wanda Lee McMillan was born Oct. 1, 1923, in Coalgate, OK, and passed away June 7, 2010, in Oklahoma City. She was raised in Spiro, OK. She graduated with honors and went on to college at Southeastern College in Wilburton, OK. World War II called her to service and she moved to Oklahoma City, where she began her career as an Executive Secretary with Tinker Field Air Force Base. There she met and married the love of her life, William Todd "Mac" McMillan. Wanda grew up the third of nine children born of the late Lloyd Homer Rhodes and Georgia Lillard Rhodes. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Mac, her brothers Chester and Billy Rhodes, and sisters Lucille, Virginia and Phola. Wanda will be forever remembered as a grand lady by her large family. She is survived by her brothers Junior and Harold Rhodes, her sister Patsy, her sisters-in-law, Jean and Silvia and her nieces and nephews and cousins who always had a special place in her heart. She is also survived by her daughter Donna Lee and son-in-law Blake Wade and the extended Wade family, along with countless other friends whom were blessed to know her. Wanda loved her home, cooking, gardening flowers and talking about new ideas. She will always be remembered for her avid interest in sports, especially basketball. She was known often to have a talent for picking the winners. Wanda touched many lives with her kindness, grace and sense of fairness, and maintained her trademark positive encouragement to everyone she loved. We would be remiss to not mention Wanda's devotion to Sam, Sissy and J.J., her beloved Bichons. A special thanks to all her friends and at Brighton Gardens in Oklahoma City.
