Wayne H. Schultz, M.D., passed away, May 23, 2011 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born June 15, 1926, to Henry P. and Ethel W. Schultz in St. Louis, MO. He graduated from Washington University Medical School in St. Louis. He completed his internship and residency at Duke University in NC and MD Anderson in TX. He moved to Oklahoma City in 1958 and joined Radiology Associates. Wayne was a professional in every sense of the word. He was a member of the American Medical Association and many other medical societies. He practiced radiology in Oklahoma, Kansas, Virginia, and finally in El Dorado, AR. After doing locum tenums for 5 years, he retired in 1999. In 1953, Wayne married Jeanne Marie Goodwin. They had three children, Robin, Randy, and Hank. Following Jeanne's death in 1990, Wayne married Norma Schmidt of Oklahoma City. They resided in El Dorado until 2006 when they returned to OKC. Wayne was always learning. His constant companions were medical journals and magazines. He enjoyed reading, coaching Randy's little league teams, playing cards with the guys, playing golf, collecting fine art, and world-wide traveling. He also had a passion for sports cars from his MG Midget to his Mercedes Sports Coup. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Jeanne, son, Kirby Randall, and step granddaughter, Kelli. He is survived by his wife, Norma, two children, Robin (Gary) Fearnow of Oklahoma City and Hank Schultz of Little Rock, AR, and one grandson, Brent, of Norman, OK. Wayne is also survived by 4 stepchildren, Eric, Chris, Earl, and Cindy, and their spouses, children and grandchildren. The family would like to thank the caregivers from Bellevue Nursing Center and Mercy Hospice. It was Wayne's wish to be cremated. The family will host a gathering and celebration of Wayne's life at Smith Kernke Funeral Home, 14624 N. May Avenue on Wednesday, May 25, from 5:00-7:00 PM.
