William Clay Ferguson, Sr., born December 23, 1931 in Berryville, AR., passed away on May 16, 2014 in Oklahoma City, OK. Ferguson was a mechanical engineer, and president and co-owner of Hambrick-Ferguson, Inc., (commercial heating and air-conditioning sales and service). His career in the industry began when he joined the firm Bagwell, Hambrick & Jones as a salesman, eventually rising to principal and co-owner. Ferguson was also a lifelong member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, Inc. (ASHRAE), who won the organization's Golden Gavel award in 1976 and served as General Chairman of the 1985 Chapter Regional Conference. A beloved family man, Ferguson was also a sports enthusiast, who enjoyed amateur boxing, golfing and bowling, and was an aficionado of July 4th fireworks; he also enjoyed supporting OU football and OSU wrestling. He is preceded in death by: parents Byrd and Ralph Ferguson; and siblings Ralphaletta, Virginia, Chloe and Claude. He is survived by: adored wife of 54 years, Sandra Louise; his loving children Michael, William Jr., David and Janet; grandchildren Erin and Adrien; and great grandchildren Avery, Camden and Declan. A memorial service will be held at Smith & Kernke Funeral Home on Friday, May 23 at 2:00pm. He will rest among family at Rose Hill Burial Park in Oklahoma City. His journey has just begun...
