William Davis Fore, Jr. died December 26, 2016, following a brief and brave battle with cancer. Bill was born in Oklahoma City to William D. Fore, Sr. and Mary Louise (Moore) Fore on November 30, 1952. He is survived by his daughter Christie Elise Fore-Hargrove, grandson Halston, sister Sharon Fore and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Bill attended Oklahoma City Public Schools, but the education that provided his livelihood he acquired at an early age at the local poker tables. Playing poker beyond the skills of most locals, Bill moved to Las Vegas to ply his chosen trade as a professional poker player. Some years later he returned to Oklahoma City to assist his widowed mother and was soon hired by Lucky Star Casino as a dealer and to manage the poker room, a position he held until his illness held the winning hand. Somewhere out there in the Great Unknown, Bill sits at the poker table with Amarillo Slim, John Moss, Stu Unger, and other poker immortals skillfully playing the hands fate deals. Memorial Service will be held at 3pm on Friday, December 30th, 2016 at Smith & Kernke 23rd Street Chapel.
