Wilma Jean Wiggins

Wilma "Jean" Wiggins, 81, of Oklahoma City, Ok passed away at home on Monday, July 2, 2018 after a long struggle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). Born January 29, 1937 in Pontotoc, OK, the oldest of ten siblings, Jean had fond memories of growing up on the farm in Pontotoc, later moving with her family to Oklahoma City where she entered the workplace as a teenager to help support her family. In 1953 she married Vaughn David Hill. During their thirteen years together she became a mother of four children while working full time in the oil and gas industry. She later married Glenn Kirkpatrick in 1968, becoming stepmother to four boys and moving to Edmond, Oklahoma. During this time, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, painting, sewing and interior design while becoming a successful Mary Kay Consultant. She was also a member of First Baptist Church, Edmond where she enjoyed singing in the choir. After eight years her life changed direction once again. Becoming a single mom she continued to support her family with the same determination she had always shown. She also obtained her realtor's license beginning a lifelong passion for her interest in property shopping. In 1978, she married Elton Todd Wiggins and together they founded the Oklahoma based company JATCO, Inc. She served as President of JATCO until her retirement at age 70. In her retirement years, she became successful in Real Estate Investment. She also loved to travel and enjoyed her second home in California near her oldest daughter and family. Jean never lost her intense work ethic, business savvy, and never saw a house she didn't want to buy and remodel.
