Yvonne Elizabeth Karam was born in Maud, Oklahoma on January 31, 1932, to Zachariah Herald Mahoney and Sarah Elizabeth Harkey. She passed away on September 27, 2024, at the age of 92. After graduating from high school, Yvonne attended the University of Oklahoma where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fashion Merchandising. Upon graduation, she married Jack Burton Pearce and moved west to Wyoming and eventually to Santa Fe, NM. After her divorce in 1984, she moved to Seminole, OK where she met and married Richard Karam. Merging their families resulted in a blended family of five children scattered across the United States. She had a love of books and the Southwest, in particular, Santa Fe, NM. She traveled all over the world with her husband Richard until he passed away on April 15, 2012.
She is survived by her children Terri Lynn Pearce of Oklahoma City; Nikki Yvonne Pearce of Oklahoma City; Jeffery Jack Pearce and his wife Toni of El Reno, Oklahoma; Sarah Sproles and her husband Dr. Alan Sproles of Parrish, FL; and Lissa Renteria and her husband Marc of Wichita, KS; her grandsons Brady Sproles of Parrish, FL and Ted Warner of Wichita, KS; and her great-grandchildren Alaira and Haven Warner of Wichita, KS.
